The Heritage Flight Aviation campus at the Burlington International airport provides state-of-the-art facilities for general aviation aircraft, flight crews and passengers. This Fixed Base Operation (FBO) and aircraft maintenance facility has taken extraordinary measures to promote a sustainable model for the aviation industry. The project features a high-performance building envelope, a site that captures and recycles all rainwater, and a renewable energy strategy centered around a community-scaled 100 kW wind turbine, the first of its kind installed at a U.S. regional airport.

The project has been awarded Efficiency Vermont's 2010 Best of the Best Award in Commercial Building Design & Construction, and has achieved LEED Gold Certification from the USGBC.
