The 40,000
square foot Windham Regional Career Center is a significant part of
an extensive renovation and addition to the Brattleboro High School,
Middle School and Career Center complex. On a site adjacent to the
existing school, the new Career Center houses vocational training
programs that can access both smaller scale classroom/computer laboratories
and open training/instructional spaces within the borders of a premanufactured
long-span metal building. Fundamental to the design of the building
is the understanding of the absolute necessity of integrating active
learning and computer technology into the workplace and the need for
flexible responses to future requirements for workforce training. - photos by Jim Westphalen |
