This large scale project involved the complete redevelopment of the downtown area of the city of Winooski, as well as the preservation of 104 acres of open space bordering the Winooski River. 800 units of housing, spaces for government functions and retail, and 250,000 sf of office space are included. The design intends to recreate a downtown feeling through the use of 3-4 story buildings with ground level retail and housing above, while respecting the historic nature of this former mill town. Traffic flow is also improved through rerouting and the creation of a new underground parking structure.
