Visitors are welcomed in a brightly lit, dynamic lobby that is representative of Ben & Jerry’s culture. A curved stair leads to the informal Tree House meeting area, from which one can return to ground level via a curved slide, evocative of one installed in the house of a company founder. Renovations were prompted by a need to reduce the total office area by 30%, and a desire to improve employee morale by creating a “fun and funky” environment. In addition to the new entry sequence, are expanded research, testing, and educational features that promote greater efficiency, and informal meeting areas with direct access to natural light.
