Interior renovations & exterior additions to the Samoset Resort will strengthen the connection to the ocean by opening the lobby to breathtaking views of Penobscot Bay, allowing the spirit of the sea to permeate the interior spaces. A new open stair leads to the Restaurant and Spa below and invites guests to experience the vibrant activity within.
The Restaurant will be intimate and engaging, making food the main focal point. A wood-fired oven is at the center of the rich culinary experience, reminiscent of an Italian trattoria. Interior finishes and materials will reflect those commonly found in domestic Italian kitchens, such as marble, wood, and iron.
The Spa will provide a tranquil seaside escape celebrating the serenity of the surrounding coastal landscape. The space will be relaxed, comfortable and inviting, utilizing materials and furnishings that reflect the Maine seaside aesthetic.
