This renovation of a vacant 60,000 SF Army National Guard hangar, is located at the south end of the Burlington International Airport. A new addition also includes a two-story passenger lobby with commanding views through two-story glass windows. The structure now has a high-performance exterior envelope including insulated metal panels, thermally efficient windows and a new high-insulation-value roof. Interior renovations utilized sustainably and regionally-sourced interior finishes and LED lighting. The facility will function as a maintenance hangar, as well as an FBO (Fixed Base Operation). Another 11,000 SF addition provides the Customs and Border Protection Service with an air-side office. This project is currently on track to obtain LEED Silver Certification
