RECEIVES BURLINGTON BUSINESS AWARD

Truex Cullins & Partners Architects received the Burlington Business Award from the Burlington Business Association for “exemplary business practices, contributions to the community, business success and promotion of a positive image for Burlington.” The award was presented to 38- year old firm at the 28th Annual Burlington Business Association (BBA) Dinner at the Sheraton on May 18, 2006.
A quote from Tom Leavitt, a member of the BBA Board of Directors stated, “It would be hard to think of a firm that has had greater impact on the look and character of our region. Bill Truex and Tom Cullins set the standard. They don’t leave out their own personal commitments to community service when it comes to the business of community design.”
Rolf Kielman, President of Truex Cullins & Partners, accepted the award on behalf of the firm and recognized the achievements and contributions of Bill Truex and Tom Cullins. The award was particularly appropriate for the firm as the theme of the dinner celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Church Street Marketplace. Truex Cullins & Partners Architects played an integral role in the development of downtown Burlington and of the Church Street Marketplace.
In business since 1968, the firm currently employs 45 people and is working on a variety of projects including the new Marriott Courtyard Hotel and Westlake Residences on Battery Street, the Davis Center at the University of Vermont, renovations and additions to Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Teton Springs, a new resort in Victor, Idaho and a renovation project at the International School of Prague in the Czech Republic.
